Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Marcin worked in the Office of the Chief Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County and in the Felony Trial Division of the Cook County State's Attorney's Office.  There, she gained invaluable courtroom experience before moving to the private sector, where Ms. Marcin worked at law firms specializing in municipal and insurance defense.  Ms. Marcin is a Adjunct Professor in the Department of Criminal/Social Justice at Lewis University, teaching graduate school courses in constitutional law, criminal law, civil liabilities and white collar crime.  Ms. Marcin also serves as an arbitrator for the Circuit Court of Cook County and participates in the annual American Mock Trial Association intercollegiate mock trial competition as a judge.
